Bronx Zoo ****

So on Sunday we headed on up to the Bronx Zoo. Overall it was VERY baby friendly (as it should be!)

I was very surprised about how many benches and seating areas there were through out the entire zoo! There were SOOOO many places that we could sit and rest while the rest of our group was still enjoying an exhibet.

Some of the areas were "Stroller Free Zones" which was annoying since DS is 20lbs but they did provide a "Stroller parking Area" in each of these areas.

A few of the animal houses did not have any sort of air conditioning or ventalation. This was inconvient. Another place that did not have any venelation was the bathrooms! I did not decide to go in and see if they had changing areas since it was so dang hot in there and there were lines. I forgot to ask my friend who went in if they had them or not.

I ended up changing DS in the petting zoo area on the bench. And noone said anything to be so they must not have cared lol!

Ok so to the pros and cons:
Pros:
Lots of benches/seating
Story time for the kids
stroller parking areas
wide walkways

Cons:
Some unairconditioned animal houses
small selection in gift shops
unvenilated bathrooms

Overall I give the Bronx Zoo **** 4 stars. I would have gave them 5 if it wasn't for the bathrooms!

VW Car dealership in Freehold NJ ***

VW OF FREEHOLD

So I was stuck with the task of getting my car serviced. This is the first time I was taking my son with me to do this. It was ok.

They had a tiny waiting room for kids with only 1 armchair (for an adult), some books and a few toys. So if that room is already in use it would be a tight squeeze. Since my son is only 7 months old I was using the normal waiting area. It has plenty of seating but isn't very open so I felt like I was always blocking an area with the stroller or my purse and diaper bag. On the plus side both the restrooms had changing tables in them! I was acctually VERY surprised being that this is a car dealership!

I am also happy to report that the Service Manager made it a point to come to me when the appointment was done instead of calling me over to the desk. The only issue I really had with the place is that NONE of the employees even acknowledge me trying to get in and out the door with the stroller. And this one sale man kept walking in front of me and stopping as I was trying to turn around in front of the bathroom!

Over all I give it 3 stars ***

PROS: Both bathrooms have a changing table; Super nice sales manager; play room
CONS: Very small play room, unaware employees, small walking spaces in seating area

Welcome Welcome!

This is the begining of a great blog! Or at leaste I hope so! I plan on blogging about all those kids friendly places and the less than kid friendly places. You know the ones who have the changing station in the bathroom (even possibly in both the womens and the mens bathroom), the wider aisles, wider carts ect. And than there are the ones who have NO CHANGING STATION NO COUNTER SPACE, dirty, small carts ect!
